Tires: Firestone Tires, firestone tires, firestone company

I bought a Mercury Sable 3 years ago. It had Firestone tire on it. After I bought it the bad publicty about Firestone tires came out. I could not afford to trade new tire for another brand so I have been driving and have had no trouble. They now have 36,000 miles on them. If I had any other brand I would not buy new tires but I often wonder if they are as safe as other brands. The size is 215-60-16 Thanks Jack

I am assuming that you are asking if the tires are safe to drive on?  The only tires that had a design flaw were the Wilderness AT.  THese tires are for trucks and SUV's only.  I do not sell firestone tires, but would have no problem putting them on my own car.  There is no problem with the firestone company.  They just had a design flaw in one of their tires.  You should be just as safe with them on your car as you would with any other car on the market.
