Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: buying a motorcycle, suzuki bandit 600, kawasaki zrx1200

Hi Pat, I have just moved to Ontario Canada, I know you live in the U.S.A. however you was the closest to me. My question is, I have been looking for a Yamaha XJR 1300, I have been told you cannot purchase this bike here? However I have seen similar bikes here, eg. the Suzuki Bandit 600, and 1200, If I cannot purchase one here in Canada, can I purchase one in the States? Thank you for your time. Regards Kenny

Welcome to North America, man. We don't always get the coolest bikes here, and the XJR is one of them we'll probably never see. As far as I know, it didn't come to either US or Canada. Best bet is to buy one in the UK or Japan and bring it over.

If you'll permit me to make a suggestion, though, the Kawasaki ZRX1200 is comparable, and it's a fine, fine motorcycle. You won't find any new ones on this continent, of course, but they did sell them here for a time and they're not hard to come by on the used market.
