Why are motorcycles designed with a larger wheel on the front?

Answer
Not all motorcycles have a larger wheel up front. Some have smaller wheels up front.

It is primarily a stylistic thing, though the larger wheel will have more stability and will turn in less quickly...that may be where the idea came from in the first place, and now manufacturers do it that way because it is a "traditional" look.
