Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: Gas Milage, and Light Question, gas milage, gas mileage

Question
Hey I was wondering if your headlight has to be as bright as can be if your trying
to get it to pass inspection. I have a 1974 Yamaha Dt250 Two-stroke. The
Headlight works, but is not very bright. Also do you have any clue to what kind
of
gas mileage this bike might get, if not thats fine, just thought I'd ask. Thanks,
Matt.

Answer
Inspection rules vary by state and how the rules are enforced varies from inspector to inspector. As long as the head light works and is not excessively dim i don't see a problem.
The bike is actually 10 years older then i am so gas mileage i am unsure of. I do know that if you get that thing in to tip top shape its one heck of a novelty toy and pretty versatile. A track buddy of mine has one we use as a pit bike from time to time and its a hoot. Good luck with it.
