Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: 1999 Honda Goldwing SE, honda goldwing, brake rotor

Question
I was pulling out of the drive this morning, had *barely* pulled out, over some broken asphalt, when I had a "grinding/clunking" noise from the front end. I immediately returned very slowly to the garage and hopped on my BMW for work. Can it be that I kicked up a piece of asphalt which is now lodged between the brake rotor and rotor cover? Is the rotor cover simple to remove? (please reply to both eric.conrath@waukesha.spx.com & econrath@wi.rr.com) Thank You.

I've got limited knowledge of Goldwing only mechanical information, haven ridden the old 1200cc model once and I am not sure of your particular bike/setup. Anything is possible mechanically with bikes and you made the right choice by not using it to go to work and driving the car instead. Try the link i have attached if you are still unsure about how to go about diagnosing/fixing the problem.
