Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: Common Laydown Problems, tipover, stupid move

Question
What are some common problems from a very LOW-speed laydown?

Answer
I am not sure I understand your question. Do you mean besides losing control, crashing, and getting hurt?

A very low speed "laydown" would be more like a "tipover."

A low speed laydown usually involves a poor surface (wet, sandy, etc.) I see it happen all the time. Bikes are unstable at low speed so once they start to go, you're gonna bet they're gonna go all the way.

Laying it down on purpose is a stupid move, unless you're trying to slide under a truck or garage door like on CHiPs, for example. Bikes stop better when there's rubber on the road.

If I didn't understand your question, please try again and be more specific.

Think hard, ride safe.
