Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: Honda CB250 Nighthawk, honda cb250, jumper cables

Question
I've had this bike a year and it's run fine but I let it sit for several months during winter.  I jumped on it, started it up, and ran it, forgetting to turn on the fuel switch.  I ran it until dead and then kept trying to start it (not the brightest thing to do.)  Now it wont turn over.  The battery seems allright as the lights go on and they dim slightly when I hit the starter, but there's no turnover.  Maybe the starter died?  Any suggestions would be good.

Answer
Sounds like you just ran the battery down. Pull the battery and charge it on a charger or by hooking it up with jumper cables to a running car for a half hour or so. (DON'T jump start the bike with the car!) Should start right up. Might need some fresh gas.
