Thanks for the question.

There is no "yes or no" answer to your question.

Both types of bikes have advantages and disadvantages. Cruisers are comfortable, good for touring, easy to ride, and sound good (usually). But in general, they are not very fast, don't have good handling or have overly powerful high-tech motors and great brakes. Of course, there are exceptions. And if cruisers are what you like, many of them are very beautiful.


Hardcore sportbikes (AKA crotch rockets) typically do have very powerful engines, great brakes, sharp handling and, again, if that's what you like, many of them are very beautiful. But they are usually not very comfortable, require advanced skills to ride and are not great for going long distance. But if curvy roads are your thing, nothing is more fun than a good sportbike.

So there is no "better", according to me. Some people would never ride a sportbike if their life depended on it. Same goes for cruisers. And some people, like me, own both. It just depends on what you like.

Get one or both, and go for a ride.
