Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: new bike, harley 883, harley dealer

dear bill, thank you for your answer regarding a new bike , i am a new rider and i want to upgrade , i want a harley, you suggested a "hugger" however i made a mistake in my typing my budget is 15,000.00 not 1500.00 i am sorry about  the typo. if you have othet suggestions i would love to hear them . thank you for your time .

OK, $15,000 is more like it! I was wondering if that was a typo...

I'll stick with my original recommendation for the Harley 883 Hugger. However, since you now have more money to spend (ha ha), keep in mind that if there is another Harley that you find yourself drawn to, there are many options for making it work better for your inseam. You can get a custom lower seat and some lower rear shocks put on, and those two fixes alone should make the bike more rideable for you. If you need different handlebars or other control modifications, it certainly can be done. That's the nice thing about Harleys (and motorcycles in general): you can modify them to work best for you. I would talk to a Harley dealer (or a shop specializing in Harleys) and explain what you want to do. They should have the fixes you need.
