Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: chest protectos, chest protector, chest protectors

i was wondering how far down my torso the chest protector is supposed to cover...i am approximatly 5'9''

Hi Darren,
Thanks for writing to me. Coming to the question, chest protectors are generally rather large - they really should be called torso protectors!
Although it varies from person to preson, most protectors reach down to about 3 inches BELOW the ribs. Some riders prefer the shorter ones, but make sure they cover your torso upto the last rib at least.
