What method would Ray recommend for someone looking to SELL a used car? Dealership, auction, private sale or a cash-for-cars company?

Hi Elin,

In the UK - USA or Canada the process selling a valid vehicle will have the same answer PRIVATE is the way for top money.

1. A dealer will low-ball you otherwise can't make a profit for re-sale, but will offer top money in a trade, which mean pay what we want and you get what you want,,,lol

2. An Auction is a good place to sell a vehicle if you don't like going through the hassle dealing with buyers or what you trying to sell is a real lemon

3. Cash for Cars,,, Only if your plane is leaving in 2 hrs -

Elin, I don't have a clue what you want to sell so it's kind of hard for me to put you through the process with proper answers, I will suggest you look up AutoTrader.uk and find the same vehicle model year and Km to get an idea what market value looks like, and then sell private.
