found a 1999 pathfinder on net with only 85000 mi  for under $3000.

has 3.3 L engine.  Is that too small for this vehicle? what kind of gas milaeage to expect?  any chronic problems that you know of?  Thanx

No that engine is not to small, actually that is a very peppy motor, that is capable of pulling more than the springs of the vehicle are!!!!  Gas mileage will not be good, averaging about 14 to 16 mpg, but absolutely GREAT vehicles.  I am a HUGE fan of the pathfinders, I have been in the car biz all of my life, and the longest I have ever owned a single vehicle is 4 years, and that was a 97 Pathfinder!  They are very low maintenance, very few problems, and will go just about anywhere when equipped with the 4x4 that is.  The only problems I can think of with them was an exhaust manifold, but not a deal breaker, and not sure if that went up into the 99 models or not.  But I would highly recommend this purchase, especially if it has been taken care of accordingly to the low mileage that it has.
