Used Cars: used car tips, car test drive, craigslist org

Hi. I'm Harry who asked you a few questions before. I need to post a new question because there are already too many follow up questions.
Since I'm pretty busy lately and not in a rush to buy a car I just spend time browsing Craigslist for more options. I have not checked out the Altima I sent you yet. I feel nervous about the car's low miles.

Personally I prefer Toyota and Honda over Nissan, so I'd like to check out these first:

The 2000 Corolla is my top choice, then Acura 1997, Camry 1998 and 2000 Civic.
I'd like to ask a few more questions. Do I have to check for the Toyota's pedal problem in the 2 Toyota cars above?
And would you recommend me steps to buy a car. This is what I'm thinking:
Contact the seller, check out the car, test drive, negotiate the price, have a pre-purchase inspection, negotiate again if some minor problems exist after inspection, finish the trade if no major problems arise.
Finally, when buying a car from owner, all the paperwork I have to do is having the seller transfer the title to me, obtain a bill of sale and go to DMV to register and pay taxes. Is that correct.

Harry Harry Harry,,, there has not been a pedal problem for 10 years with this car, why pick on silly issues,,, you're not in a rush,,, that's a positive.

Test drive a car you like,,, and want to buy,,, run it by me,,, and I will check for red flags, and guide you from there.
