Used Cars: Used car, unresolved complaints, tommorrow

I just purchesed a used car from a dealership in Roanoke, I have not made the first payment and having big problems. I payed $800 dollar deposet they are asking 3G for the car. $200 monthly payments. What can I do... sold as is transmition going out. 30 day tags run out tommorrow w/ first payment would you pay?

I would not make the first payment, now understand this is probably going to hurt your credit, but here is the deal.  Most of these situations are almost impossible to get out of, but you have your best chance within the first 30 days.  I would raise hell with the dealer, and if they dont do anything I would go above them to the
what I call "Car Dealer Police".  Here in Oklahoma there is this place called the Parts and Used Car Commission, which is basically like a "Car Dealer Police".  If people have unresolved complaints with dealers, this is who they call.  And they dont play around either, they get to the bottom of it, quick.  Now all states are different, so I dont know what you have in Rhode Island, but I would try and find out.  First....try to make it right with the dealer, then try to find who the "Car Dealer Police" are in your area.
