Used Cars: craiglist questions, many cars, good car

Question
Hi Danny,
Please allowed me to ask one question. I found one good car on crailists but  the deal is to make on eBay. They used to say that they are in the army or LT. etc.
I would like to know how trustworthy this kind of person is and is this sage to do this. Are there cheaters out there in Craiglists.
Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
There are cheaters everywhere, You need to be careful no matter how safe you think it is. I sell many cars myself on craigslist, it's doesn't cost anything and it's a great free network. I think this all goes back to the basics, No matter how good someone tells you a used car is you should have it checked out by a mechanic and never exchange monies with out a witness and have all documents needed in front of you. Don't except promises from individuals you don't know. Any promises from a dealer or agreements should always be put in writing, no exceptions. There is an old saying, "If the deal seems to good to be true, it's probably not a good deal"
 Hope this helps.
