Used Cars: jump titling, dealership location, red flags

Question
What is jump titling and how does that affect the sale of a car? I'm looking to buy a vehicle for my daughter and I was told to watch out for jump titling.
Thank You,
Bob

Answer
Hi Bob
Jump titling are scammers who operate as dealers without getting a license " I personally call them curb siders "

It's a seller that avoid all regulations such as not having to pay tax on vehicle that they don't have titled in their name before selling, that statement alone makes it easy to commit fraud.

1, They don't pay sales tax on vehicles they buy

2, Will lie through their teeth about any questions you may have, some are real smooth with plenty of experience.

3, The moment you turn over the money, I will estimate" 90% " that you will not be able to contact that person again.

SUMMARY,,, If your not buying at a dealership location, make sure the sellers name is same as titled, here is a link on my website   http://www.usedcartips.org/DIDYOUKNOW.html   scroll down to a link called " curbstudy " it will give you all the info you need.

Now as for buying a car for your daughter I will be more than happy to make sure she gets a safe and reliable car, when you find one send me a link, and I will check for red flags,,, in the meantime study my site for some pointers

Have a great day
