Used Cars: new car, ford crown victoria, wheel drive car

Hello shane my wife has a 1989 ford crown victoria and i want to get her another good used car but an up to date on i dont want to spend more than 3000 so how do i start from there .What are good used cars.

First you have to decide what size vehicle is right for you. A Crown Vic is a large rear wheel drive car with a V8 engine. I would always recommend a make and model that has been around for at least a few years. Stay away from the first year of any model. Some of the cars that come to mind are, Pontiac Grand Prix 1998-2003 you should be able to pick up a car like this with about 100000-125000 miles, the 1998-2002 Buick Century is a nice mid sized car with a dependable powertrain. The 2000-2002 Ford Taurus would be a good buy with about 100000 miles. I don't have a favorite but these are a few that you should be able to find pretty easy in you price range. Don't worry to much about miles if the car looks to be well maintained. Most vehicles today go for 200000+ miles. Hope this helps, Shane
