Used Cars: Rolled back odometer, vehicle history report, state attorney general

Question
I purchased a used vehicle 5 days ago with a signature loan from my bank.  After handing over the money, I was putting the paperwork into the glovebox and read on the title that it has a SALVAGED TITLE!!!  The seller did not disclose this information to me before I purchased the car.  So I went online and did a vehicle history report from AutoCheck.com and found out that the last known miles on the car was 157,900 but inside the car, it reads 130xxx!!!  What can I do to possibly get my money back and get rid of this car??

Answer
Hi Sara

It's beyond me how you could take delivery of a vehicle without knowing it's title.

As for the odometer I don't know if you purchasd private or from a dealer or what state your located as the laws differ, check with your local city or county consumer agency, county prosecutor's office of consumer affairs or state Attorney General's office for specific laws in your state regarding this issue.

Google odometer fraud for the state your located, you will get some answers and advice, notify the seller for a refund or your attorney will be in touch.
