Used Cars: High Mileage Honda, high mileage, honda civic

I am interested in buying a 97 Honda Civic with just over 200,000 miles on it. 1 owner, well maintainted with receipts, they are asking $2,400. Does this sound like a good price. What is the life expectancy on a Civic with this kind of miles, and what major repairs can I expect?

Yes, I believe that is a fair price for the car, primarily because the 1 owner/well maintained with proof aspect.  Just keep the maintenance up on it, including the timing belt/water pump.  And you really should not have any major repairs for a good while.  Those cars properly taken care of can go 300k to 400k with only minor repairs.
