Used Cars: Taheo 1999, nickel and dime, happy holiday

Question
I am thinking about buying a 1999 4door 4weel drive Chevy Taheo for 3,500. It is really nice the only thing is it has 250,000 miles on it but has a new transmission. Do you think this would be a good idea? or will it not last me very long?

Answer
Well here is the thing, when you are only spending $3500, trying to buy something to last a long time is just a chance you have to take at that amount.  It is probably still worth that money, because even if an engine goes, they are easy to replace, and there are plenty of them out there.  If the vehicle was what I needed, I would purchase it and worry about things when they happen, because it will probably nickel and dime you, but that is just how it goes unless you want to spend a lot more money.  Good luck, and I hope you have a Happy Holiday Season.
