Used Cars: Axle component rigged, honda dealership, dealer ship

Question
I Owen a 2004 Toyota Sienna LE purchased just a year ago used at 32,000 miles from a Honda dealership.  Now at 42,000. Never in accident in my possession. I recently found out I needed new bearing on front left wheel.  Mechanic advised vehicle was rigged repaired before selling or an an earlier time and was possibly in a accident of some sort to cause damage/bent strut.

Do you believe Honda dealer ship will assist and/or compensate for cost to repair for damages not exposed to me at sale after a year has gone by?

Answer
Please dont kill my feedback because the answer I'm going to give you is pretty simple and probably not what you are looking for...
I do not think they will pay for the repair. You have had the vehicle for a year, they will tell you that anything could have caused the bent strut ie potholes etc.. Put yourself in their position, if you sold lets say a toaster to a friend and it appeared to work fine, your friend then, a year later called you up and said the button was held on with glue and fell of and wanted you to fix it...you would feel no obligation, especially if you had them sign a form that said as is no warranty like the one that was in the window of the van you bought.
However, all that being said, this could be a safety issue that they might not want the lawsuit on, if you can keep your composure, not get too irate and speak to the general manager only, don't start with underlings start at the top and explain your fears and hint at your intent to persue legal action for them selling you a presumably unsafe vehicle, when all you are asking for is them to make the vehicle right, they may fix it for you.  As with every mechanic the one you took it too may be spinning a yarn or two to get more work out of you than needed so a second opinion by the honda stores mechanics wouldn't be a bad idea which they should volunteer....
good luck and let me know how it goes
