Used Cars: Car, car lots, private owner

Hello
I bought a car from a private owner, I gave him the cash and he handed me the title signed, next day i found out the car needs more work than its worth, What can I do?
I'm in florida and i don't know if I can do anything legaly.

Man I hate to hear these situations, because it happens all the time, but there is not a whole lot you can do.  Every state has their own rules and regulations, but they normally pertain to car lots and dealership, to my knowledge there is nothing governing deals like this.  The only thing I can say, is learn from your mistakes, and try to make the most of it.  Try and sell it to somebody else.  Or try and find somebody, mechanically inclined, that may have a place in his heart to try and help you out.  Legally, there is not anything you can do, to my knowledge.  Sorry it happened that way, and I wish you all the best in trying to make it the best you can.
