Used Cars: Saturn 1998, saturn sl1, 1998 saturn sl1

Question
I currently own a 1998 Saturn SL1 and it has nearly 100,000 miles on it.  It has been a good car except now requires the transmission to be replaced. I was told this is a typical problem with the Saturns when they hit the 100,000 mile mark.  Does this car have any other reputation for potential problems?  Trying to decide whether it will be worth my money to repair it or better to unload it.  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Donna
Lets leave out about potential problems, what you have is major and i know its a hard chice to go one way or the other as this car has been good to you but reality is the Saturn is going on 9 years old and to fix it will cost more than vehicle worth, besides i am a strong beliver replacing a tranny they never seem to run the same again

I dont know about your finacial status but if your able to get into another car...now is the time

If your not then pay for a tranny which will be a lot less on your purse strings

If you decide going for another car then check my website
