Trucking: legal load height

Question
I drive a 35 foot rackbody truck and need to know the "rules" for how high the load can be legally when the rack fences are about 4 feet high off a 4 foot truck bed.
thanks

Answer
The Vehicle Height rule is very simple.  13 feet 6 inches is your maximum.  It is not determined by the type of vehicle or the cargo...13'6" is the max.

If you go higher, you will need to get an oversized load permit which is not something I would recommend.
