HEY JIM I AM A OWNER OPERATOR HAULING HOT LIQUID ASPHALT. THE COMPANY IS NOT SHOWING ME WHAT THE LOAD PAYS AND IS ALSO TAKING SOME OF THE FUEL SURCHARGE. IS THIS LEGALL? HE JUST SHOWS THE WEIGHT AND WHAT U GOT PAID. NOT ENOUGH INFO.HOW CAN I FORCE HIM TO COMPLY SHORT OF HIRING A LAWYER.THINK HE IS CHEATING.I CAN MOVE ON BUT NEED THIS RESOLVED TO FIND OUT IF HE OWES ME MONEY.AND DO U KNOW THE GOOD ,BAD,UGLY,ON HAULING CONTAINERS?

Answer
Tim, it all comes down to the contract you signed.  What does it say about compensation?
If it's percentage based you have a right to know what the load pays.  You may have to threaten to take them to court to get access to the records but unfortunately you will need a lawyer to advise you.  Check for any penalties that they can claim against what they owe you.  If it's a bad deal look another gig, but be sure you get a more fair and transparent contract.
