Trucking: becoming a broker, good work ethic, trucking business

hello sir, I'm a young construction worker from southern ca. and i was wondering what advice would you give someone trying to be a broker and eventually start  small family trucking business. i don't have any experience in this field but desire and a good work ethic.

Brokerage is a crowded field and it's all about relationships.  You need to develop a following of businesses that have freight to move and a following of truckers that need freight in the lanes you will have to offer. An then of course there is all of the usual stuff you need to know to run a business, Accounting, taxes, and DOT and other government regulations that govern the trucking industry.
