Trucking: New dump truck business, dump truck business, google

Hi - I'm have already incorporated my business & will be purchasing a tractor & dump truck (steel) tractor.  I need help to determine what forms for both IL & US that I need to complete.  I am only going to haul construction  materials (dirt, stone, gravel, etc) INTRAstate (nothing across state lines).  I cannot find a single place online that tells me where I need to register, etc.

I do not believe IL requires a dot number for intrastate operation.  You will want to contact the IL Commerce Commission and inquire about a ICC Number.  If you google IL commerce commission and then search for motor carrier permit on their website.
