Trucking: start trucking company, trucking jobs, trucking company

Question
i been driving for 8 years and have experince in all types of trucking jobs.i want to go in bussiness myself but the price of fuel got me second guessing it. do you have any ideas want is the safe thing to do,or how to get started.

Answer
John, whether you are in business for yourself or drive for someone else the price of fuel has to be paid by the final consumer in the end.  Trucking like any other business needs to cover its costs of operating which includes fuel.  The only effective way to be competitive and still account for fluctuations in fuel cost is with a good fuel surcharge mechanism. Aside from Fuel you need a good business plan.  Check this site for a guide:

Best of luck.
