Trucking: Costs, certified welder, god bless israel

Question
I am trying to get a start-up cost analysis, and associated fees to start my on trucking company, I need some general costs for, operating authority, PUC/ICC numbers.and the other associated costs, like apportioned tags, so I can drive the eastern seaboard. My business will be run out of pa and will be an LLC, Unless advised differntly by my Attorney. I have an accountant on hand and a Truck Parts company Account. I was a diesel mechanic and certified welder for years  so I am pretty confident about, being sure the truck I can get is very good to excellent condition in regards to maintenance & Repairs. And I can do most all work myself.
My company that recently laid me off, (because they are going independent),has offered me a truck they have for sale (a '99 379 Day-cab Pete, with a rebuilt trans ,engine [475 cat], new clutch, front differential and Radiator.) and work to go with it. They will supply the trailer at no additional cost and 5 days a week work.
Any web-sights to locate cost or more info. would be appreciated too. I would like to get the ball rolling and be  on the road by mid August,Early Sept.
Thanks for all you do, Sincerely Jeff

Answer
Hi Jeffery,

The best I can offer you about this subject is a website. Go to www.dotauthority.com, they can help with most if not all that you asked about. With fuel like it is, you need to make $1.70 to $2.00 a mile and limit deadhead miles as much as possible.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask in other questions.
God Bless, Israel
