Trucking: starting a one truck business, god bless israel, truck business

My husband purchased a truck and trailer and I'm supposed to find out exactly what he needs to get started. I'm clueless to the indusrty. I don't know about any of the forms, permits, and insurances that he needs. It would be based out of Florida and traveling all 48 stated if that helps. Also, I'm supposed to be finding loads for him and don't have a clue about any of it.

Go to www.dotauthority.com for everything needed to operate. If he doesn't mind pulling flatbed, there's a ton of flatbed freight in the south. One good sight is www.123loadboard.com. You can google loadboards for some different sites. With fuel price like it is, you need to keep the deadhead miles to a minimum.
