Trucking: training, trucking school, luck jim

do you have to go to a trucking school to get your cdl or can the training be done by the trucking compant?

Noel, there is no rule that I know of that requires school training as long as you can pass the test in your state.  State rules may vary.  Check with your state DOT, probably online.  Some larger companies work with driving schools and will advance the tuition if you agree to drive for them for a set amount of time.  Basically it's a loan that you have to pay back if you quit prematurely.
If you can find a company to train you go for it.
