Trucking: hot shot, prospective companies, reputable company

hi, i live in houston,tx and i want to start hot shotting. however, i have a few
felonies and the most recent one was in 2006. would my felonies be an issue?
Also, what kind of truck would be best for hot shotting?

Talk to prospective companies and find out their specific requirements before you buy a truck.  Give them all of your information up front because their background check will reveal anything you try to hide.
Any reputable company is unlikely to take a risk with high value cargo but if your driving record is clean and depending on the nature of the felonies someone may take chance with you.  If so, ask them what kind of truck would be best for their operation.  Best of luck.
