Trucking: Starting a trucking company, trucking business, trucking company

Bob, I'm starting up my own trucking and I need all the advice I can get. I like to know about finding good paying loads, what to charge for hauling, the best area to grow my company and of course financing. I started building credit for my business but my personal credit is not good at all. If you have any leads to help me with this, all I need is enough financing to cover the down payment and start up cost. Once I get on the road with your advice, I hope to make my company a successful one. Thanks

I could right a book.  First, you need to write up a business plan.  What do you want to haul, what areas of the country will you service.  From there, you will have a guide.  Go to Amazon.com and type in "trucking".  There are a number of good books and starting a trucking company.  This is what you need to read because you'll need a lot more answers than what I can answer here.  Look at "How to Start & Manage an Independent Trucking Business" by Jerre Lewis, along with others.
