Trucking: like to start back in trucking, bob stephens, cdl

I drove truck some years ago and did not grandfather my old class 1 over.now I have been looking at buying a truck and get back in to it.outside of getting a CDL what would be better dirt or over the road long haul...thanks Mike

Hi Mike.

I'm an OTR guy and always loved that.  I've never moved dirt and know in Florida, there's no money in it.  In the Northeast and out West, guys do a lot better with dumps.  Of course your home all the time with most dump hauling, the big plus for many.  If it makes no difference to you, I'd buy a truck and lease out to a company pulling a reefer.
