Trucking: owner operator, fuel program, owner operator

I drive the truck I want to buy. An 02 KW W900L & East 48' flat with all equipment. Offered to me for 55 grand.  I have $10,000.00 for start up. I am working on financing with 10% down. I can keep it where I work and run under there authority. I have 35 years in the business. the question is will 10 grand be enough or am I sticking my neck out to fare. #2 How much does autority cost to haul building products nation wide, and where do I apply.

#1-10K is ok depending if the company will supply the plates and insurance and deduct from your settlement.Do they have a fuel program? If not you will pay out of pocket each time you fill up. Also what will be the rate of pay? How much will the company charge to use their authority? will they fill out all the paperwork for you? If wanting to get your own authority, there are websites to help you in obtaining it. You might want to hire a trucking accountant or there are software programs that can do it fairly well.
