Trucking: Illegal transportation of alcohol, illegal transportation, trucking companies

If a person holding a CDL receives a ticket for illegal transportation of alcohol, will it show up on his MVR even though it is not a moving violation?  Can it cause him to lose his CDL?  Will trucking companies reject his applications due to this?  Thanks!  Shirley

Hi Shirley, You will have to check with your state DMV Office about what goes on their state's MVR for Drivers.
This violation should not cause one to lose his CDL. It would depend on the company if they would accept one with this violation. Usually one's company insurance company determines who the company may hire.  Good Luck  J P Long
