Trucking: RV Hauling, ford f350 dually, ford f350

Question
I am very interested in RV Hauling but running into problems. The place I've been talking to rarely has back hauls and do not pay on return trips. This seems to be very common. I've heard it might be wise to have a trucking 'broker'. How do I get info on this?  Also, I have a 1996 Ford F350 Dually Diesel. Excellent condition but 2 places have stated vehicle can't be more than 5 years old.  Is this standard?

Answer
Hi Steven.

Yes, it's fairly standard about the age of trucks.  Otherwise, guys have old trucks that always break down and appointments are missed for delivery.  Doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you miss enough appointments, shippers find a new trucking company.

Look on load boards like www.getloaded.com or look in the yellow pages under "trucking brokers".  They'll have loads for you.

Good luck!
