Trucking: business ethics, freight bills, business ethics

My husband worked for a company who drove him hard and stole money out of his paycheck each week.  I have logs that show just how hard they ran him and how he had to cover their butts.  They have cheated the system and we want to know what can be done.  Monday he informed this company that he quit and he had a better job, he is still under one of their trucks and they are doing nothing to get him to where he needs to be.  We are tired of the games!!!!!!!!

Hi Cassy, Contact the Department of Labor in your state. If you can not find a number for them, e mail me and i will look it up for you. JLong2500@aol.com  You will need to be able to show what pay was due and what received. Was he paid on mileage or percentage.  If percentage, he can request a copy of the freight bills to see what each load paid the company. This is a Federal Law.   Good Luck, J P Long
