do you know of any companies i could talk to to get started with. at this time i own my own dump truck business looking to expand to something else. thank you

Hi Lorenzo.

I'm assuming that you want to buy a car hauler and still be an owner-operator.  If so, depending on which part of the country your in, there are many options.  The first would be to hit up some of the local auto auctions and used car dealers in your area.  That will get your foot in the door.

Most new car dealers have a shipping contracts with the manufacturer, but you may be able to get some of their dealer to dealer cars.  

If your looking into OTR transport of autos, then thats a different story.  Some of the top carriers are Horseless Carriage (www.horselesscarriage.com), Exotic Car Transport (www.exoticcartransport.com), and Reliable Carriers (www.reliable-carriers.com).

Those are just a few.  The area that you live in will have numerous auto carriers, check the phone book or www.superpages.com.
