Trucking: ICC question, intrastate authority, good luck

Hello,
I have a customer who needs loads moved from one point to another is same state. I do not have authority in that state and under normal circumstances i would know i cant do that however here is the background. The loads are out of northwest IN and billed to a customer in Chicago, i would instead of taking the to Chicago take them 10 miles down the road in IN to a pickler. The fright bill reads shipped to Chicago IL can this load be reconsigned and can I legally deliver it on my ICC 48 state authority?

Hi Don, This would be risky with out IN intrastate authority. If this will be an on-going thing you may want to get intrastate authority. The numbers for more information: IN : (317)615-7200 . and IL : (217)782-2593 .
In the case you give, If you carried it across line and then it was re consigned, you could deliver it back in IN.
