What do I need to do to become a Freight Broker? What licenses or permits do I need and what is the average startup cost?

Hi Liza, You would need Federal Broker Authority and must post a surety bond with FMCSA or trust fund agreement in the amount of $10,000.00
If you are still interested, I could get your Broker Authority for you . Cost would be $350.00. and you would need Process Agents for each state. Cost would be $75.00.
