I would like to how to get started as a freight broker. what are the steps to get started. thanks.

You will need to apply for Freight Broker Authority. You will also need to have some documentation to support your applicatiobn for authority. First document will be a BOC3. You will also need to have a bond. This will need to be in the amount of $10,000.00. You can purchase these items on the internet. I can send you the URL's that you will need. Also you should have expereience working with another brokerage to begin with. Most brokerages pay 60 to 70% commissions. Almost not worth getting your own brokerage. Think clearly before proceeding!
