Trucking: towing, newburyport mass, pei canada

Question
I want to tow two ski-mobiles from Newburyport, Mass. to PEI, Canada. They are on a trailer. But I have never used a trailer hitch or towed anything before. I have a Nissan P/U 4cyl.
Do you think I can tow that? If you think I should rent something bigger, what would you recommend?
Also, do they need to be registered here to tow them, or bring them across the border? They are staying up there.

Hi Walter,  I would suggest you rent a vehicle with either 6 or 8 cyl.  Do not believe the 4 cyl would have enough power. Unless the terain is pretty level and not hilly or mountainous.  You will need to check with the Mass Dept of Vehicles about the license that may be required.  I am only familar with SC. Here if the trailer and load exceeds 500 lbs. it would need to be licensed.  Hope this answers you.
