Truck Repair: Daytime Running Lights

Question
I have an International 9400i. It has daytime running lights that are supposed to be on only when both the key is on and the parking break is released. Over the past year, I have noticed that when I am parked for the night with the truck running, sometimes the DRLs are on even though the parking break is set. Any suggestions on how to fix this or how to disable the DRLs altogether? (I don't think it matters, but just in case, the engine is an ISX.) Thanks.

Answer
First thing to check is see if there is a fuse for the drl only you could pull that.
Might take a test light and with the drl on check and see if you have power down at the headlight plug. Then with your light switch on see if your power is coming through the same wire. If it is then it's got to be fixed if it comes through a different wire you can clip that wire. Just clip it far enough back so you can put in a butt connector if needed again. I'm not sure how those are wired but it should be wired through a air switch more then likely in your dash. It will plug into a airline on one end and have a electrical connector on the other end. You should have multiple ones in there so you'll have to find the right one.
