Truck Repair: ECM for M11 engine, cummins lt10, engine cummins

We recently bought two ERF EC11 for cmmercial purpose in Nigeria,(Black and white) the hand of black vehicle was change from right to left, but after few trip the engine stop due to damage ECM. The ECM of the white truck was therefore remove and put in the black truck but after a few trip the ECM also got damage. It was checked in Ibadan, the ECM was diagonised not to be supplying right amount of fuel to the engine. All effort to buy ECM P/N 3096662 has failed because it was said to be 24volts as againt the common 12volts ECM. We either want to buy or repair the ECM for the white truck now as we just change its hand from right to left.For the black ERF we are in the process of putting another engine Cummins LT10 that use injector insted of ECM. Please can you advice us on how we can get a good ECM or repair our faulty ECM for our white ERF and let us know good mechanic workshop or electrician for cummins engine in Nigeria.

There is no facility in Nigeria that I know of presently capable of handling repairs on ECM. Cummins west Africa is located in Leventis Ijora premises, Lagos and they have the software to properly troubleshoot but I am not sure if they are available for commercial repairs on ECM controlled engines not supplied by them.

It is instructive to note that ECM cannot just be swapped without ascertaining the details on the engines that they are compatible. that may explain why the second ECM failed.
Presently, because of dearth of repair facilities in nigeria for the Electronically managed engines, it may worth the while to go for conventional manual types.
