How do I remove a condenser off a 92 dodger truck

Hi Carroll,
the refrigerent needs to be recovered. it is illegal to allow the refrigerant to vent to atmosphere so you will have to have it recovered using proper equipment. once it is recovered the removal of the components is pretty simple....the fittings require special o-rings and are lubericated using pag or mineral oil. once you have opened the system to atmosphere you will need to replace the receiver/dryer dececant filter as the moisture in the atmoshpere will plug it up. once you have replaced the condenser and the receiver/dryer the system needs to be leak checked under pressure and then held under a vacuum for 30min to evaporate any moisture in the system. a/c is not really a repair that can be done at home unless you have the necessary equipment.
