Truck Repair: 1994 Chevy 1500, 1994 chevy 1500, holly carb

I just swapped to a vortex intake and a double pump holly carb. How do i by pass the transmission shift wires so it will shift? Is that even possible in a 1994 Chevy 1500

Hi Dalilha,
your transmission is electronically controlled. it requires inputs such as throttle position, vacume, road speed, and engine speed. I'm assuming that you eliminated the computer for the engine altogether....this is probly one of those swaps that should be everything or not at all...try looking around for a 700r4 trany and swap that in. Computer controlled vehicles are just that..the computer controls everything and requires inputs from all over. if you want to switch to mechanical then you will have to switch everything.
