Truck Repair: cummins 855 series water in cylinders, torque specs, rocker shafts

Question
i recently went to start my truck and after the motor turned about a half of revolution it stopped. i since put a  1 5/16" socket with a 3/4 drive ratchet and was unable to get the motor to turn over. i am wondering if there is any other way to get the water out of the top of the cylinders that got  there from the exhaust and satg for so long. thanks

Answer
Hi Chad,
Pull your valve covers, and pop your injectors out(you may have to pull the rockers off too, not a biggie just keep everything in order). once they are out try to turn over the engine, maybe even try going back and forth. it is possible that the cylinders have rusted around the rings and are not allowing them to move. if you still can't get it to turn over spray some penetrating oil in each cylinder and let it sit for a day or so then try turning it over again (by hand!!). make sure you find some torque specs for the rocker shafts and the injectors, sorry I can't remember them off hand.

good luck,
