the transfer case need repaired

Answer
Hi Kamin,
It is possible there is something gone bad in the T-case, Does it have any drivability issues other than the noise ie: surging or jerking fealing? try draining the oil into a CLEAN bucket and have a look at it. If there is a lot of metallic swurl to the oil or any jewelery comes out when draining it, then that would be a good indication that bad things are happening inside. It may be possible to get away with just a repair provided it hasen't been driven very long with this issue. before pulling the t-case off and searching for a replacement or having that one repaired...check all your u-joints, slip yokes and CV joints. Always check the easy stuff first.

Good luck,

Matt
