Answer
Hi Scot,
My general experience locally here in Nigeria on Cummins M11 has to do with difficulty in troubleshooting the ECM. Shops that offer this service are very few and unreliable. Quite a number of trucks with M11s with Ecm has been abandoned or repowered by other models on account of difficulties in troubleshooting.
However, if you don't have problem with getting cummins shop with 'insite software' to carry out proper troubleshooting in your area, I believe the engines are fairly reliable. I have run a fleet of 13 Foden trucks powered by M11 engines for over eight years with minimum delays due to availability of the above software.

I hope this answers your questions.
